How FIT Are You?

Has anyone ever asked you how fit you are?

Maybe they challenged you to do a certain amount of pushups.

Or maybe they wanted you to race up a set of stairs.

The list can go on and on.

And, yes, maybe these challenges can determine how well you can perform a specific task. But will the outcome determine how healthy ... or ... how fit you are?

Probably not.

What if I could show you a very simple, do-it-yourself, way to determine your overall wellness and endurance level?

Disclaimer this simple test is not a replacement for medical attention nor does it diagnose. Always seek the guidance of your doctor or healthcare provider.

It's easy and may give you some insight into how you're doing.

Shall I show you now?

It's called a BOLT score. BOLT is an acronym for Body Oxygen Level Test.

Try to test yourself first thing in the morning upon awakening.

Make sure you're in a safe place where you will not be disturbed.

Grab a stopwatch or an easy-to-read timer.

Sit up tall and breathe normally for a minimum of two minutes. The goal is to relax.

Now, inhale normally through your nose, exhale normally through your nose, hold your exhale, and count how many seconds pass before you feel the urge to breathe.

Resume normal breathing.

How'd you do?

(Watch this helpful video for an example).

20 seconds is normal for most people ... including elite athletes ... and, according to Patrick Mckeown,

"A common starting BOLT score for an individual who exercises regularly at a moderate intensity will be approximately 20 seconds. If your BOLT score is below 20 seconds, depending on genetic predisposition, you will probably find you experience a blocked nose, cough, wheeze, disrupted sleep, snoring, fatigue, and excessive breathlessness during physical exercise."

The good news? Each time your score increases by five seconds, you'll feel better (overall), with more energy and reduced breathlessness during exercise.

According to Mckeown, the ideal BOLT score for a healthy individual to reach their full potential is 40 seconds.

Now what?

For anyone who is searching for a straightforward method to increase their level of fitness, I'd recommend SOMA BreathFIT.

Personally, it helped me improve my breath-hold time from 25 seconds to 35 seconds in approximately 13 days. And I'm confident I'll get to 40 seconds by sticking with the BreathFIT protocol.

Everything is laid out for you in daily doses. That way it's easy to stay on track and stay focused.

You get follow-along audio tracks for breathing exercises, access to a private Facebook group for support, and much more.

It's hard to find such a well-put-together course at such an amazing price.

Take action!

Now that you know where you stand as far as fitness and endurance.

And now that you know there's an easy way to reach your full potential, take action and give the SOMA BreathFIT program a try. In as little as 7 days, you may feel better with more energy, better sleep, and less stress.

Go forth and be awesome!
